How can I put this printer into firmware update mode?​

Troubleshooting the Firmware Update Process​

Hello John,
For the C869R printer model, the product manual instructs the printer to enter Firmware Mode for updates. However, the suggested key combination does not seem to be working. Using the Epson Service manual procedure, the only mode available is USB FW Update mode, which requires both the firmware file and license.txt. Unfortunately, the license.txt file is missing from the download folder, causing a hurdle in completing the update process.

Seeking a Solution​

Is there any workaround for this issue?

Good day, we do not support updating via USB memory stick for this device. Please try updating the printer in the normal mode by simply starting the device and running the firmware updater. If this method fails, you may need to retry entering the service mode following the instructions closely. Thank you!

It worked! We successfully updated the firmware through the regular mode.

Hello, does anyone know how to install a CISS on the original cartridges of this printer, or where we can purchase a CISS for this model?
