Troubleshooting the Newest Epson Firmware Update Issue​

Description of the Problem​

The newest Epson firmware update (Ver CL27J9) has caused the printer to not recognize previously acceptable cartridges. When attempting to enter Update mode and connect the USB cable to a Dell laptop running Windows 10, the connection is not established. Disabling the WiFi connection did not resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting Steps​

1. Check USB Recognition: Is the USB device unrecognized by the system, recognized incorrectly, or are appropriate drivers unavailable?
2. Change USB Cable and Port: Try using a different USB cable and connecting to a different USB port on the laptop.

If the issue persists after following these troubleshooting steps, additional solutions may be necessary.
