Then I decided to check out the option ‘To restore chipless firmware paste saved Code to Recovery Code window and Click Recover button’ as advised in the WF2750 Chipless Manual.</p><p></p><h4>Firmware Downgrade Attempt</h4><p>I tried to downgrade firmware to JP24G5 24/05/2016 via the WIC utility but the procedure did not complete successfully. The printer got locked in Recovery Mode. I managed to fix this by downloading and installing the Recovery Firmware ‘Recovery_wf2750.zip’.</p><p></p><h4>Restoration Attempt</h4><p>I attempted to restore the chipless function using the recovery code but was unsuccessful even after multiple attempts. I wanted to ensure the chipless restoration procedure works reliably.</p><p></p><h4>Recovery Code and Eprom Dump</h4><p>Before using recovery code, chipless firmware has to be reloaded. The eprom dump can also be used to restore chipless function.</p><p></p><h4>Firmware Version and Release Date</h4><p>Interestingly, the firmware version and release date did not change even after various attempts to restore chipless function. The printer remained at version JP0212.</p><p></p><h4>Questions and Conclusion</h4><p>I seek advice on different methods of restoring chipless function and whether the eprom dump can be used on another WF2750 printer.
